As previously speculated, EA (Electronic Arts) has now officially re-released the first two Sims games. This allows users of Windows 10 and Windows 11 to enjoy the classic The Sims and The Sims 2 on their computers. The visuals remain untouched, with only minor technical adjustments made to ensure compatibility with modern systems.
Unlike the original versions, all expansion packs are included this time, allowing players to fully experience the life simulation. The games are available via the EA App (formerly Origin), Steam, and the Epic Games Store, but are currently limited to Windows systems. It remains unclear whether a Mac port of this re-release will follow.
In terms of pricing, The Sims is available for 19.99 USD in the US, while The Sims 2 costs 29.99 Dollars. Both re-releases include all expansion packs, eliminating the need for separate purchases. Additionally, a bundle containing both The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 is available for $39.99.
